The following initiatives as part of the CBBI Center Strategic plan are being planned for 2010. For more information on any of the following programs please click here.
Executive Education Seminars - Regularly scheduled entrepreneurial/business/executive level educational classes built around professors and the interests of local community business leaders. One hour seminars will include information such as: successful business plans, marketing, taxes, developing e-commerce etc.
Lunch with the CEO - Round table style informal lunch with successful business leaders and managers who volunteer their time to assist young start-ups.
Coastal Bend Angel Investment Network - Develop a key network of investors who would be interested in CBBI Center clients and matching up their investment needs with client capital requirements.
Innovation after hours - Series of evening workshops and classes devoted to innovative ideas and best practices.
Entrepreneurship and Executive Training Program - Certificate level program designed by for entrepreneurs, key employees in entrepreneurial firms and managers in established firms seeking new growth opportunities through innovation and entrepreneurship.
High School Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summer Camp - The objective is to engage talented high school junior and seniors, educate them about entrepreneurship and raise the profile of TAMUCC business, innovation and entrepreneurship programs. This program will be coordinated with local school districts and sponsored by local businesses.
Annual research and new venture showcase - Annual program highlighting research, innovation and commercialization opportunities from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Business Idea and Business Plan Competition (MBA) - CBBI Center hopes to sponsor teams for these events in the 2010 - 2011 academic year.
Innovation and Entrepreneurs Club - CBBI Center hope to sponsor a club for students of all colleges interested in entrepreneurship and interaction with CBBIC Clients.
Commercialization and Entrepreneurs Boot Camp - Targeted to faculty, staff, graduate students and the community and will cover: idea generation and evaluation, IP Protection, Business Plans, TAMUCC commercialization process/resources and financing alternatives and options.
