Chief Marketing Aide

Sirfur Productions is a multi-media company focused on the Texas Surf scene. Sirfur Productions provides surf entertainment in the forms of magazines, web-series, and documentary movies.
Position: Chief Marketing Aide (Intern)
Sirfur Productions is seeking a Chief Marketing Aide to help with marketing Sirfur Productions' publications and video productions, primarily the surf magazine "Texas Gulf Coast Surfing".
This is a ground floor position. Candidate will be involved in the organization and publication of a quarterly magazine from the very first issue.
Candidate must be honest, hard working, and motivated to succeed. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised (on occasion), and maintain productivity.
Position could eventually become permanent based upon the success of magazine.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have an outgoing personality.
- Knowledge of various avenues of marketing and brand recognition.
- Knowledge of sales.
- Knowledge of surfing is extremely helpful, but not required.
- Candidate must enjoy and embrace a beach lifestyle, but have a professional attitude.

Duties Include:
- Assist in acquisition of distribution lines for magazine
- Sales - both ad space and subscriptions
- Research - includes both fact based and informational research
- Input on Magazine layouts and video production
- Various other duties as assigned by Editor

Computer Science or Web-Design major

Must have strong mySQL, ASP, as well as HTML skills. Knowledge of incorporating databases into an HTML environment is a plus! This position is for a web-designer to assist in the designing and building of a major website. Artistic ability is a definite plus!

Marketing major

Marketing major to work as a label liaison. This individual will contact labels and independent artists and seek out music videos to incorporate into our webcast's rotation. Must be familiar with internet searches, not be afraid to make phone calls, be well organized and have good follow-up skills.
